The operational intelligence gap

Most agencies are flying blind on the metrics that matter most.

The issue is not staffing alone. Home health agencies are losing capacity, revenue, and clinicians to workflow failures that leadership cannot see because the metrics, structure, and accountability to surface them have never been built.

“Agencies cannot grow if clinicians are overloaded, intake teams are delayed, QA is backed up, and leadership lacks real-time visibility into the work.”

The Dazie operational thesis

Documentation completed after hours

When documentation is delayed, QA is delayed, billing is delayed. The damage cascades across the entire operation.

Referral leakage before leadership sees it

Intake delays and scheduling bottlenecks are losing referrals before they reach a decision point. Most agencies don’t track why.

QA as a checkpoint, not a system

Every correction reveals something about upstream workflow quality that goes unaddressed week after week.

Burnout measured in turnover, not signals

After-hours charting and workload imbalance are the early warnings. By the time turnover arrives, the cost is already compounding. Industry data places each RN replacement at $60,090, and 40% of care staff leave within their first 100 days.

AI adopted as a project, not a strategy

Without governance, baseline metrics, or human-in-the-loop validation, AI adoption creates compliance risk and no measurable ROI.

Burnout Risk Engine

Scores every clinician on six weighted operational signals: documentation burden at 30%, caseload pressure at 20%, QA rework at 15%, attendance and callouts at 15%, pulse responses at 10%, and tenure and retention at 10%. Documentation burden folds in after-hours and weekend charting, backlog, and late notes. Tenure and retention is weighted to the first 100 days of employment, the peak turnover window, flagging critical individuals weeks before they resign.

How it works

Dazie in three steps.

From data drop to decision-ready ops meeting in the same week, without replacing your EMR or adding work for your clinicians.

Step 01

Connect your operational signals

Drop weekly CSV exports from Homecare Homebase, WellSky, MatrixCare, Axxess, Alora, Kantime, or Devero into Dazie. Pre-built field-mapping templates ship for each EMR, so your operations team is live in days, not the 9-month vendor approval cycle. Elite tier adds native API integrations.

Step 02

See what is eroding performance

The KPI Intelligence Hub lights up every red metric before the ops meeting starts. AI Commentary translates each number into the specific action to take this week. The Burnout Risk Engine scores every clinician. Referral Leakage Intelligence quantifies the dollars slipping out the door this month.

Step 03

Run the meeting with decisions, not questions

Every red metric arrives with a recommended action and a named owner. Predictive Intelligence forecasts the next 30 days across burnout, revenue risk, QA overflow, referral leakage, capacity strain, and documentation backlog. The AI Operational Advisor answers root-cause questions in plain language.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions agency leaders ask before they choose Dazie.

Real answers to the questions that come up most often in evaluation conversations. Email hello@dazie.ai if yours is not here.

How is home health operational intelligence different from an EMR or BI dashboard?

Your EMR captures clinical encounters and billing. A BI dashboard charts what already happened last quarter. Dazie sits in the gap neither tool covers: the operational signals leadership uses to run the agency. Burnout risk, referral leakage, QA pressure, documentation burden, workflow friction. Dazie does not replace your EMR. It surfaces what your EMR cannot, and tells you what to do about it.

Does Dazie use AI?

Yes. Dazie is an AI-powered operational intelligence platform built specifically for home health leadership. AI powers four parts of the product: AI Commentary translates every KPI into the action to take this week; the Burnout Risk Engine uses predictive operational signals to score every clinician weeks before turnover shows in HR data; Predictive Intelligence forecasts six 30-day operational risks from live data and pulse signals; and the AI Operational Advisor answers operational root-cause questions in plain language. Dazie does not chart, schedule, or bill. We identify where documentation burden, scheduling pressure, and RCM bottlenecks are eroding performance, then provide clear actions to recover capacity, margin, and control.

How does Dazie measure the impact of documentation burden on operations?

Documentation burden creates downstream operational damage that EMRs and BI dashboards do not surface. Dazie continuously measures three signals: after-hours charting rate (the leading burnout indicator), documentation timeliness against the 24-hour target (which drives QA backlog and billing delay), and OASIS lock rates with rework frequency (which drives revenue cycle friction). AI maps each signal to its downstream effect. After-hours charting feeds the Burnout Risk Engine, documentation timeliness feeds QA backlog forecasts, and OASIS lock patterns feed billing acceleration projections. Every signal includes a recommended action and a named owner, so the documentation problem does not just get measured, it gets resolved.

Does Dazie integrate with home health EMRs like Homecare Homebase, WellSky, and Axxess?

Yes, in the way that actually works. Most home health EMRs (Homecare Homebase, WellSky, MatrixCare, Axxess, Alora, Kantime, Devero) support CSV or Excel report exports. Dazie has pre-built templates for each one. Your operations team drops the weekly exports into Dazie, and the platform maps the fields automatically. For EMRs with modern APIs, native integration is available. For the rest, the upload model gets you the same outcome without the 9-month vendor approval cycle.

Is Dazie HIPAA compliant, and where does our data live?

Dazie is designed with a security-first architecture built for healthcare organizations. While Dazie primarily focuses on operational and workforce intelligence rather than patient medical records, we utilize enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, encrypted data storage, role-based access controls, and secure authentication practices to protect customer data.

Customer data is securely hosted in the United States using modern cloud infrastructure providers with industry-standard security protections and redundancy.

Dazie is built to support healthcare operational environments and follows security best practices aligned with healthcare industry expectations. As the platform evolves, additional compliance and security certifications may be introduced based on customer and enterprise requirements.

Who inside a home health agency actually uses Dazie?

Dazie is built for leadership, but the platform is multi-persona. The dashboard has a Role selector for Administrators, CEOs and COOs, Directors of Nursing and Clinical Leaders, Intake Leaders, QA Leaders, Schedulers, and Recruiters. Each role sees the modules and KPIs most relevant to their day. Clinicians and intake staff do not log in directly, but their operational signals reach the platform through the Operational Pulse Intelligence assessment, which takes 60 seconds to complete from any device.

Do you support hospice agencies?

Hospice support is on the roadmap, marked Coming Soon in the top nav. Today Dazie is fully optimized for home health agencies. Many of the operational signals that matter for hospice (cap utilization, length of stay variance, bereavement program coverage, IDT documentation patterns) overlap meaningfully with home health, and we are building hospice-specific modules with design partners now. If you operate both lines of service, talk to us about joining the design partnership program.

How does the Operational Pulse Intelligence assessment work for home health clinicians?

Operational Pulse Intelligence is a 60-second pulse assessment sent to clinicians, intake staff, or QA leads on a schedule you choose (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). Three role templates ship out of the box: 9 questions for clinicians (workload, documentation burden, after-hours charting, scheduling friction), 8 for intake (referral delays, payer verification, support gaps), 7 for QA (chart returns, backlog, readiness). Every response feeds directly into Burnout Risk, Referral Leakage, KPI Intelligence, and Executive Overview modules in real time. Leadership sees what is straining the front line before turnover, leakage, or denials show up in the financials.

How is pricing structured?

Dazie is priced per user. Pro and Max have flat per-user monthly rates with the option to bill annually and save 20%. Elite is custom-priced for multi-branch operators that need EMR integrations, single sign-on, and unlimited seats. You can add or remove users at any time, and pricing scales with your team. Every persona type works on every plan, so Administrators, CEOs, DONs, QA Leaders, and Intake Leaders all count as regular seats.

Can we pilot Dazie before committing to an annual plan?

Yes. The fastest path is to start on a monthly Pro or Max plan and cancel anytime. That gives your team 30 to 60 days inside the platform with real agency data before you commit to annual. Larger or multi-branch agencies considering Elite can also join our Design Partnership Program, which gives early access to new modules in exchange for product feedback. Email hello@dazie.ai and we will help you choose the right starting point.

Can we cancel or change plans anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans can be canceled or changed at any time from your account settings, with no cancellation fee. Annual plans can be upgraded mid-term at any time. If you cancel during an annual term, you keep access through the end of your prepaid period. Your operational data and historical snapshots remain exportable for 90 days after cancellation.
